Urbano Lugrís was one of Galicia’s most interesting painters. His work, however, has been given little attention so far. The cultural collective A Nave das Ideas invited several Galician poets to write a poem for one particular painting of his. The outcome is an amazing e-book that may be downloaded for free.

This is the English translation of my contribution to this book.

Until the end of 2011 I will have the wonderful chance of staying at the artists’ residence Villa Waldberta. This stay is part of a programme developed by the Instituto Cervantes of Munich around Galician culture and literature in which the poet and friend Yolanda Castaño also took part. Apart from different conferences and round tables, the stay is a gift of time to devote it to writing and and opportunity to create networks with other artists.
